Professor Sven Lončarić received 2017 Golden Plaque "Josip Lončar" for "outstanding research work in the area of image processing and computer vision and for development and promotion of the profession".
Professor Damir Seršić received 2017 Research Award for outstanding research achievements.
Both awards were presented at the annual ceremony "Day of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing" that took place on 24th November 2017.

The tenth anniversary of the Symposium - ISPA 2017 is going to be celebrated in Ljubljana, Slovenia. ISPA 2017 will take place from 18-120th September 2017 and will be Co-Chaired by professor Stanislav Kovačič professor Sven Lončarić. Asst. professor Marko Subašić serves as the Special Sessions Chair and dr. Nikola Banić as the Publications Chair.

Professor Lončarić is the principal investigator on the new project titled "Methods and algorithms for real-time color image enhancement", funded by Croatian Science Foundation. The project duration is four years and the project started on March 1, 2017.
