The members of the Image Processing Group have successfully completed organization of the 7th Int'l Symposium on Image and Signal Processing and Analysis (ISPA 2011), which was held in Dubrovnik, Croatia, September 4-6, 2011. ISPA 2011 was technically co-sponsored by EURASIP, IEEE Signal Processing Society, and IEEE Region 8 and was organized by Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb, Croatia. The symposium was organized under the auspices of Croatian Academy of Arts and Sciences. The Program Committee members selected 136 out of 245 received submissions presenting research and applications of signal and image processing resulting in the acceptance rate of 56%. The technical program was organized into three parallel tracks. There were 140 participants attending the symposium from 39 countries and all continents.
The following distinguished researchers presented plenary lectures at ISPA 2011:
- Professor José Moura, Carnegie-Mellon University, USA. Plenary lecture title: Filtering in Distributed Large Scale Networked Systems.
- Professor K. J. Ray Liu, University of Maryland, SAD. Plenary lecture title: Information Anti-Forensics.
Professors Hrvoje Babic and Sanjit K. Mitra served as the Honorary Co-Chairs. Professors Gianni Ramponi and Damir Sersic had the roles of the Program Co-Chairs. Professor Abdelhak Zoubir was the Publicity Chair. Professor Andres Santos served as the Special Sessions Chair. Professor Marko Subasic was the Local Arrangements Chair. Dr. Tomislav Petkovic served as the Publications Chair, while Hrvoje Kalinic was the Registration Chair.
